By submitting or completing a nomination, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions that govern this recognition initiative.
Beyond the Uniform: A Recognition of Service – Terms and Conditions
Eligibility:
Beyond the Uniform: A Recognition of Service, the “Initiative,” is open to U.S. military veterans who meet all of the following requirements. Nominees must currently reside within the Delaware Valley or surrounding communities, must be legally eligible to travel, and must be able to participate in the awarded experience. Veterans of all branches and eras of service are eligible.
Nominations must be submitted by an individual other than the veteran being nominated. Self-nominations are not permitted.
Verification of Eligibility:
All eligibility claims are subject to verification. Nominees will be required to provide documentation reasonably sufficient to verify veteran status, such as a DD-214 or other official military service records deemed acceptable by the Administrator. Proof of residency may also be required. Failure to provide requested verification documentation within the required timeframe may result in disqualification, and an alternate honoree may be selected. Verification materials will be used solely for eligibility confirmation and will not be shared or retained beyond what is reasonably necessary for administration of the Initiative.
Nomination Period and Deadline:
Nominations must be received no later than October 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
Selection Process:
Beyond the Uniform is administered by Beyond the Castle Travel LLC, the “Administrator.” All eligible nominations received by the deadline will be reviewed. One honoree will be selected based on the substance, clarity, and impact of the nomination. The Administrator may also designate one or more alternates in the event the selected honoree is unable to be verified or cannot accept the awarded experience. All selection decisions are subjective, final, and not subject to appeal.
Prize Details:
The awarded experience consists of a complimentary cruise experience for two aboard Celebrity Cruises, selected from a curated collection of available sailings departing in 2026 or 2027. Specific itinerary details, accommodations, and inclusions will be determined based on availability within the curated selection. Approximate retail value will vary depending on the selected sailing and accommodations.
The prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may not be substituted. The honoree is responsible for transportation to and from the cruise departure port, travel documents, gratuities, taxes, fees, insurance, and any personal expenses not expressly included in the awarded experience. The cruise must be booked and completed no later than December 31, 2027, unless otherwise approved in writing by the Administrator.
Cruise Selection Timeframe:
The selected honoree must choose an eligible sailing within six months of official notification. Failure to select a sailing within this timeframe may result in forfeiture of the awarded experience, and the Administrator may select an alternate honoree or conclude the Initiative.
Notification:
The selected honoree and any alternates will be notified using the contact information provided in the nomination. The selected honoree must respond and provide required verification documentation within three business days of notification. Failure to respond or complete verification within the required timeframe may result in forfeiture of the awarded experience.
Announcement and Publicity:
The honoree may be recognized through official program announcements, digital communications, and media coverage associated with Beyond the Uniform. By accepting the awarded experience, the honoree grants permission for their name, likeness, and nomination story to be used for recognition and awareness purposes related to the Initiative, unless prohibited by law.
Administration and Partner Roles:
Beyond the Uniform is administered solely by Beyond the Castle Travel LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. Celebrity Cruises is the sponsor of the Initiative and is providing the awarded cruise experience. Celebrity Cruises is not responsible for the administration of nominations, the selection of the honoree, or the operation of the Initiative. Community organizations may support awareness of the Initiative but are not administrators, sponsors of record, or responsible for selection or fulfillment. All questions or inquiries related to the Initiative must be directed to Beyond the Castle Travel LLC.
Taxes:
The honoree is solely responsible for any and all federal, state, or local taxes associated with receipt or use of the awarded experience. Beyond the Castle Travel LLC and its partners will not be responsible for tax reporting, withholding, or payment obligations.
Travel Risk and Assumption of Risk:
The awarded experience involves travel by sea and may involve air, land, or international travel. By accepting the awarded experience, the honoree acknowledges that participation is voluntary and assumes all risks associated with travel, cruise participation, and related activities, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable.
Liability Release and Limitation of Liability:
By participating, all nominators, nominees, alternates, and the honoree agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Beyond the Castle Travel LLC, Celebrity Cruises, and any supporting organizations, along with their respective officers, employees, and agents, from any and all claims, losses, or damages arising from participation in the Initiative or the acceptance, possession, or use of the awarded experience, to the fullest extent permitted by law. In no event shall the liability of any released party exceed the actual retail value of the awarded cruise experience.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:
This Initiative and all related matters shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Initiative shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All participants waive any objection to venue or jurisdiction in such courts. Claims must be brought individually and not as part of any class or representative action.
Miscellaneous:
No purchase is necessary to submit a nomination. Void where prohibited by law. Beyond the Castle Travel LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Initiative if circumstances arise that compromise fairness, integrity, or feasibility, including but not limited to fraud, technical issues, or partner constraints.
