Who we are

Four veterans. Nearly 95 years of military service.

Four members of the Beyond the Castle Travel team served in the military for a combined total of nearly 95 years. Today, our team includes advisors with experience planning cruises, groups, sporting events, Disney vacations, Caribbean travel, Europe, and trips around the world.

Our military background is part of our story, but you don't have to be a veteran to work with us. We plan travel for individuals, couples, families, and groups across the country.

Why Beyond the Castle

Why book with us?

Booking sites and AI tools are fine starting points. They don't always account for timing, supplier rules, transfers, cabin choice, or what happens when plans change. We do.

We plan more than the reservation

Hotels, cruises, transfers, tours, pre- and post-cruise stays, and the timing between them can all affect a trip. We look at how the pieces fit together.

We know cruises

We help compare cruise lines, ships, cabins, itineraries, and what's included so you can make a better choice than simply sorting by price.

We book major events

The Masters, World Cup, Olympics, Formula 1, NFL international games, and other events where tickets are only one part of planning the trip.

You have someone to call

If something changes, you have an advisor who already knows your trip and can help you work through the options.

We don't charge planning or booking fees

In most cases, you'll pay the same price you would booking directly, sometimes less, and additional amenities may be available depending on the supplier and booking.

We work with a lot of travel companies

Instead of being tied to one cruise line, hotel company, or tour operator, we can compare options from different suppliers and recommend what makes sense for your trip.

Already booked directly?

Booked your cruise with the cruise line? You may still be able to add an advisor.

If you booked directly with the cruise line, your reservation may still qualify to be transferred to Beyond the Castle Travel. Keep the cruise you already chose and gain help with deadlines, changes, cruise-line questions, transfers, excursions, pre- and post-cruise travel, and the details that come after booking.

For reservations booked directly with the cruise line and not currently serviced by another travel advisor or agency.

“Julio helped us plan two vacations including cruises and we are very happy with his assistance and have even referred him to others. He is incredibly knowledgeable and if he doesn't already know something he will take the time to find it out so that he can properly advise you... Questions travelers ask

No. Beyond the Castle Travel does not charge a separate planning or booking fee. Our compensation is generally built into the supplier's pricing, so you receive our planning and support without paying us an additional agency fee.
In most cases you pay the same as booking direct, sometimes less. Depending on the supplier and promotion there may be added amenities like onboard credit, hotel perks, specialty dining, or Wi-Fi. Pricing and amenities vary by trip and aren't guaranteed until confirmed by the supplier.
Important trips have more moving parts than they appear, fares, hotel categories, airfare, transfers, pre- and post-stays, insurance, excursions, supplier rules, and timing. We help you compare the full experience, not just the starting price, so you choose what fits your style and budget.
Ocean, river, and expedition cruises, small-ship sailings, custom land journeys, sporting-event travel, faith-based travel, destination weddings, and group trips. Our role is to match the right supplier, ship, itinerary, and level of service to the traveler.
Yes. Beyond the Castle Travel works with leading cruise and tour partners for luxury ocean cruising, European and international river cruises, Great Lakes sailings, and expedition-style journeys to remote destinations. These trips require more than simply picking a ship. We help evaluate itinerary quality, cabin location, inclusions, activity level, destination logistics, and the overall value of the experience.
Absolutely. Many of the best trips do not begin and end with the cruise or tour itself. We can help coordinate pre- and post-cruise hotels, transfers, guided experiences, rail, private tours, and custom land extensions so the entire journey feels more seamless from start to finish.
No. Better planning does not always mean choosing the most expensive option. It means choosing the right option. Sometimes that is a luxury cruise line, a premium river cruise, or a private itinerary. Other times, it may be a well-planned family cruise, guided tour, resort stay, or group trip that offers strong value and fewer logistical headaches.
Yes, the Masters, Women's World Cup, Formula 1, the Olympics, World Cup travel, and other bucket-list events. These trips involve hotels, event access, transfers, and tight availability, so early planning makes a meaningful difference.
Yes. Group cruises, destination weddings, family celebrations, faith-based groups, incentive travel, and more. Group travel needs careful coordination, deadlines, cabin management, payment tracking, and communication, and we organize the moving pieces so the group leader doesn't manage it alone.
We strongly recommend considering it for most trips, especially cruises, international travel, high-value vacations, and trips with non-refundable components. Coverage may help with certain cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, and interruptions depending on the plan. We'll explain the options; the decision is always yours.
You'll have an advisor who can communicate with suppliers, review options, and guide you through next steps. We can't control airline delays, weather, or supplier policies, but we can help you understand your options and advocate for you when support is needed.
Yes. We work with clients across the United States and, where supplier rules allow, outside it as well. We're based in the Philadelphia area, but our planning support isn't limited to local travelers.
Share where you want to go, who's traveling, your approximate dates, your budget comfort zone, and the kind of experience you want. From there we help narrow the options and guide you toward a trip that fits your goals. The best first step is to start planning or schedule a call.
